For the first time, our Association has filled board seats by election through acclamation under our new election rules. Acclamation is a process used when the number of qualified candidates for open seats is equal to or less than the number of seats available. In that case, no ballot is cast. The candidates are declared elected once the nomination period closes and the Board confirms their qualifications.
This year, the candidates who qualified for the open seats were Marlina Figueira, the incumbent, and Michael Fam. Both have been appointed to the Board. Marlina’s continued service gives the Board valuable continuity, and we thank her for her commitment to the community. We welcome Michael and look forward to his contributions.
Thank you to every member who participated in the nomination process and who helps keep Orangecrest Country a great place to live. If you have questions about how acclamation works or about the new election rules, please contact the management office.
