Recently, the Association conducted a community survey regarding homeowner perspectives on Sprinter-style vans and similar vehicles within the community. The survey received strong participation, with 171 homeowner responses submitted.
The feedback reflected a broad range of opinions and perspectives. Some residents expressed support for allowing certain passenger or cargo vans, particularly for large families, accessibility needs, or work-related use. Others expressed concerns related to neighborhood appearance, parking congestion, commercial vehicle impacts, and preserving the residential character of the community.
Among residents who were open to some form of allowance, commonly suggested conditions included:
- Parking in driveways rather than on streets
- Requiring vehicles to be privately owned and well maintained
- Prohibiting commercial signage or advertising
- Applying reasonable parking limitation
Many homeowners also noted broader concerns regarding overall parking conditions within the community, including street congestion, multiple vehicles per household, RV storage, and consistent enforcement of existing rules.
The Board appreciates all residents who took the time to participate and share their viewpoints. The survey was conducted solely to better understand community sentiment on this topic. At this time, there are no plans to pursue changes to the CC&Rs related to vans or similar vehicles.
Thank you again to everyone who participated and contributed thoughtful feedback.
